1930’s Hollywood Regency colossal Ceylonese solid brass crab sculpture by V. Vallipuram & Sons. This huge rare heavyweight imposing sculpture has the most incredible detail with gem eyes one blue (original) and one red stone. In a threatening pose showing his huge pinchers, this crab however likes to be handled. As equally beautiful when turned upside down, showing his stamped maker V. Vallipuram & Sons.Negombo.Ceylon. Dates for the Vallipuram company are 1900 to 1940, so this is an early quality example unseen before. Fabulous condition and could be polished to a high shine if you so desired H 9cm W 20cm D 15cm
