Product Details

1940’s unseen before plaster advertising shop window ‘call me’ display piece on original wood/plaster stand rare 21”. The story goes that Maude was used in the window of a hairdressers until the late 60’s with the stand displaying the salons telephone number. Maude is a heavyweight mask which has a long screw embedded into the back of her plaster. This screw fits through the hole in the wooden upright bar of the plaster base stand and bolts securely on using a wing nut. Some minor repair to stand, filling of a small area where the wood section embeds into the plaster base. The stand looks to have been repainted due to the repair. The head is in an amazing condition, unsure if it’s been repainted as have not witnessed a comparison.
